Manipur Press Club celebrates 50th Foundation Day

The 50th Foundation Day of the Manipur Press Club was observed today at its premises in Majorkhul, Imphal. The event was organized jointly by the Manipur Press Club Management Committee (MPCMC) and the All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union (AMWJU).
The occasion was attended by IPR Minister Dr. Sapam Ranjan, Speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly Thokchom Satyabrata, MLA Khumkcham Joykishan, AMWJU President Bijoy Kakchingtabam, Editors Guild Manipur President Khogendra Khomdram, former office bearers of the Press Club, and a large gathering of journalists.
As part of the program, floral tributes were offered at the Journalist Memorial Pillar to honor the contributions and sacrifices of media professionals. In the evening, candles were lit around the memorial pillar in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the line of duty.
The event also featured a dinner gathering for media professionals, providing an opportunity to celebrate Manipur Press Club’s service to the press fraternity.
