Manipur Police seized Drugs

Manipur police on receiving credible information about the transportation of illegal drugs at Lilong Turel Ahanbi Ubakthong Makha area managed to arrest one Md Mujibur (43 yrs.) of Lilong Atoukhong Maning Leikai.
A team of Commando along with women police personnel of Lilong Police station under the supervision of Addl SP (OPs)/Thoubal, Sachidananda Soibam, MPS and Inspector N.Tiken Meetei OC, CDO Thoubal under the overall supervision of SP-Thoubal, Jogeschandra Haobijam, IPS conducted intensive frisking and checking at Lilong Idigah Road.
A press release by the Manipur Police states, “During the operation at about 4:00 p.m. an unknown person was seen coming by foot at the roadside towards Lilong Dam in a very suspicious manner. On his suspicious behavior, the police teams detained the person for verification. On proper search of the person one black colour polythene containing 22 (twenty two) nos. of soap caps suspected to be Heroin powder was found from his possession. Thereafter, he disclosed that the suspected Heroin powder was given by two persons who come with one Bolero vehicle white in colour just 10 minutes before. So the police teams start chasing the vehicle immediately by contacting then through Md. Mujibur’s phone and they were found at Lilong Bazar near Oil pump. Immediately, the team rushed to the spot and detained the suspected persons. They identified themselves as 1) Deineihoi Haokip aged (25yrs.) W/o Hemminson Haokip of Moreh Ward No.2 and 2) Minlan Tuboi (37 yrs.) S/o Jangpou Tuboi of Ward No.9. Moreh.
The suspect were arrested from the spot along with the following items 1) 22 (Twenty Two ) nos of soap caps suspected to be heroine powder 2) Three mobile handset along with Sim Cards are also seized from their possession 3) One Bolero vehicle white in colour bearing registration No. NL. 03/2267
A case under FIR No.88(9)2021 LIL-PS US 21Cy29/6003) ND & PS Act has been registered at Lilong PS.
