Manipur NCC wins honours at NER annual awards

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) units of Manipur secured multiple honours at the NCC North Eastern Region Annual Awards 2026 held at the NCC Group Headquarters, Shillong today.
The awards were presented by Meghalaya’s Sports and Youth Affairs Minister, Wailadmiki Shylla, in the presence of Additional Director General, Major General Anurag Vij.
First Officer Bheigyachandra Singh of 14 Manipur Battalion NCC was named Best Male Associate NCC Officer of the North Eastern Region. Second Officer Harishkumar Khundrakpam of 1 Manipur Air Squadron NCC received the Best Male Associate NCC Officer of Manipur award, while Second Officer Thokchom Prava Devi of 14 Manipur Battalion NCC was adjudged Best Female Associate NCC Officer of Manipur.
Among cadets, CUO Konsam Moramba Meitei of 1 Manipur Air Squadron NCC was awarded Best Senior Division Cadet, while SUO Leitanthem Chanchan Devi of 65 Manipur Girls Battalion NCC was named Best Senior Wing Cadet of Manipur.
In the institutional category, DM University of Science was declared Overall Best College, and Ningthoukhong Higher Secondary School was awarded Overall Best School of Manipur.
The NCC Group Headquarters, Imphal, congratulated all awardees, stating that the achievements reflect the dedication and discipline of NCC officers, cadets, and institutions in the state.
