A programme for the disbursement of one-time financial assistance under the Chief Minister’s College Students Rehabilitation Scheme (CMCSRS) for the Academic Session 2025-26 was held at the Jubilee Hall of Imphal College, Airport Road.
The event was attended by Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh along with senior government officials and dignitaries.
Under the scheme, financial assistance was provided through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to 754 internally displaced students pursuing higher education in the state. The initiative aims to support students affected by the ongoing crisis and ensure that their education continues without interruption.
Speaking at the programme, the Chief Minister reiterated the Government of Manipur’s commitment to the welfare and rehabilitation of displaced students. He expressed confidence that the assistance would provide relief and motivate the students to continue pursuing their academic goals with determination and hope.
