Manipur Governor wishes people on Cheiraoba and Good Friday

Imphal, April 13: Manipur Governor Dr. Najma Heptula greets the people of Manipur particularly the Meitei Hindu community on occasion of the Cheiraoba, which is celebrating tomorrow.
In her message the governor said that , for the Meitei Hindu, Chieraoba symbolizes the coming of a new year and it is a festival celebrated by every household with great enthusiasm and gaiety. The festival represent the transition where the old give way to the new with the rival of spring which makes the landscape green and rekindles hopes for a better life. The governor also wish all rededicate to strive towards the goal for bringing peace , prosperity and progress in every household of the state. She also wishes this coming year dispel the dark and bring light to State for a better future.
Dr. Najma Heptula also wishes the Christian brethren of the state on occasion of the Good Friday.
She said good Friday, among other thing is a reminder of the compassion and supreme sacrifices of Jesus Christ for all sins of mankind. His message of love, forgiveness, truth and renunciation of violence, fanaticism or revenge should always be remembered by one and all, the governor added.
She further wish to rededicate ourselves to the noble ideals of peace harmony and brotherhood espoused by HIM for better world, devoid of all evils.
