Yesterday as part of his visits to different districts of Manipur, Governor of Manipur Shri La Ganesan visited Tengnoupal district HQ and Moreh town. During his visit he interacted with district level officers and members of different CSOs of the district. After the interaction program the Governor said that the main objective of his interaction with the people is to know the ground realities, and said that genuine and positive criticism of the government are always welcome and is much needed for improvement of governance. He added that he is always already to hear the grievance of the people and will try to address them as far as possible.
During his speech, the Governor ,after hearing the report present by the Deputy Commissioner said that we should give more emphasis on cleanliness and the importance of vaccination against the Corona virus. He urged the people of the district to stop vaccine hesitations and come forward and get vaccinated, for it is the only way to defeat the virus and to put an end to the pandemic.
Further the governor appreciated the beauty of the district, and also commenting on the cultural shows which showcased the basket full of grains and the traditional hunting weapons, said that he finds three very significant things amongst the people here. He said that people here are very hard working and give much importance to agriculture, and term Agriculture as equals to life, and secondly people here are always vigilant and ready to protect their families and the country, and are always happy.
He also praised the state for its Art & Culture and sports and congratulated for being one of the states which sends maximum numbers of players in the recent Olympic.
As part of his visit at Moreh town the governor visited and offer prayers to the Shree Angala Parameshwari , Shree Muneeshwarar Temple at Moreh .He then had a meeting with the Tamil Sangam and also interacted with the CSOs of Moreh town.
