President of National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), Neeraj Kundan has stated that central leaders don’t bother to end Manipur crisis because of having less share of MP seats in Parliament.
Neeraj Kundan who was in Imphal for two days to take stock of situation of strife-torn Manipur said that central government is not taking serious concern about Manipur crisis. The ongoing crisis is about to complete three months but central and state leaders are unable to address the problem.
“Prime Minister Narendra who remains mum about the crisis broke his silence after more than 70 days when a disturbing video of naked parade went viral. The central leaders will take interest swift action to end crisis if Manipur has a large share of MP seats in Parliament,” he observed.
While stating about his visit to Manipur, he said that his objective of coming to Manipur is to interact with students’ community and identify their problems. During his visit in various relief camps, he came to notice that students are facing lot of challenges. They don’t have basic needs for their studies, unable to afford their transport charges, not having internet access, is another big challenge to compete with students of other states.
The state government and central leaders should address the ongoing crisis at earliest otherwise career of many students will be at stake, he urged and he also expressed his condolence for affected victims.
