Manipur Congress urge swift action as floods worsen 

Senior Congress leader and AICC member N. Bupenda Meitei raised serious concerns over the deteriorating flood situation in Manipur while speaking to the media at Congress Bhavan, Imphal. He described the impact of the floods as devastating and called for prompt intervention alongside long-term measures to prevent similar disasters in the future.
Addressing reporters, Meitei underscored the need for a coordinated and transparent flood response strategy. He also presented a copy of an official letter sent by Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Keisham Meghachandra Singh to the Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla. The letter questions the apparent lapses in handling the current crisis and presses for accountability from the responsible authorities.
In the communication, the PCC president urges the state government to ensure adequate compensation for all those affected, safeguard human lives and properties, and mobilize every available resource to manage the floods effectively across the state.
