Man who attempted to murder a middle aged woman by attacking with knife at Charangpat area in Thoubal district was reportedly arrested by a team of Thoubal district yesterday evening. The arrested accused idenditifed as Laishram Anand Singh (27 yrs) s/o L. Ingoshabi Singh of Heirok Part-2 Mayai Leikai attacked s 46 years old woman by chopping at her head and face, however the lady survives with critical injury.
The incident happened at around 2.30 pm on February 3 at a place called Selom Loukol of Charangpat Mayai Leikai in Thoubal district. The lady was reportedly found lying in a pool of blood at the left main canal. She was taken to the Thoubal district Hospital and later referred to Raj Medicity as her situation deteriorated.
