A 26 years old person sustained serious injury after he was attacked by unknown person using dagger at around 8.30 pm yesterday. He is undergoing treatment at RIMS hospital with multiple injuries at his abdomen and back. The victim has been identified as one Longjam Umakanta Singh, son of Longjam Manihar of Phumlou Siphai. According to report the incident happened near his residence while he was returning home. Two unknown persons started attacking him using daggers and attempted to murder him. However, the two escaped after local people started coming out.
