Imphal July 15: A man was held while attempting to steal tyre from a Tata Magic parked in front of the Quarter of Andro AC MLA, TH. Shyamkumar.
The man who tried to steal the tyre has been identified as one Tellem Robindro (35), s/o T. Thoiba of Nilakuthi Keikol Makha Leikai.
Narrating the incident during a press meet held at the quarter of MLA Shyamkumar, driver of the Tata Magi, identified as Konthoujam Somendro (27), s/o Achoubi of Yairipok Angtha, said that the man tried to steal the tyre while the driver was away from his vehicle. He was held by the driver of the Tata Magic as he was lifting the tyre when the driver returned to his vehicle.
Immediately, the driver took him inside the quarter of MLA Shyamkumar located at Kangla Park. On being questioned the man revealed that he was sent to steal the tyre from the particular area by one identified as Md. Raffizuddin (48), s/o Hessamudding of Hatta Golapati who runs a shop of selling stolen goods.
Condemning the incident Th. Shyamkumar said that such kind of incident should be avoided in future.
