MAHUD & Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister visits Jiribam

Minister for Municipal Administration Housing & Urban Development (MAHUD) and Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Yumnam Khemchand visited Jiribam District today.
On his visit, he had  inspected dumping site of Jiribam Municipal Council at Chingdong Leikai, Jiribam where he went through the solid waste Management Processing Site
Jiribam and reviewed the details of the process. The Executive Officer of Jiribam Municipal Council briefed about the details of waste management in the site.
Talking with the media persons at the JMC dumping site, the MAHUD and RD &PR Minister said that solid waste Management became the essential service stage at present. Waste has hazardous substantial or potential threats to public health or the environment. He also appealed for proper health Management for clean and green environment. Appreciating the proper waste Management of Jiribam Municipal Council (JMC), he added that the waste Management Site of JMC is a learning place for the North East India.
Later, he had inspected some parts of PMGSY works at Jiribam District.
