Jiribam, April 24:

In a fiery address delivered in Jiribam, M. Asnikumar, Spokesperson of BJP has voiced strong reservations regarding the proposals outlined in the Congress party’s manifesto. He emphasized concerns over the potential repercussions of Congress’s agenda, cautioning that it could undermine national unity and economic stability.
Drawing a sharp contrast, Asnikumar lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s focus on development over divisive politics since 2014. He asserted that the government has steadfastly opposed Congress’s historical appeasement politics by prioritizing developmental initiatives.
Critiquing one of the key proposals in the Congress manifesto, Asnikumar warned against the removal of the 50% cap on reservations, citing potential discrimination and unequal resource distribution. He expressed apprehension that such measures could lead to division and disparity among communities.
In a scathing rebuke, Asnikumar accused Congress of historical plundering, alleging that the party has viewed the exploitation of public funds and national resources as its inherent privilege. He referenced past instances of asset seizure by Congress governments, citing laws in the 1960s and 1970s that mandated Indians to deposit a portion of their income with the government.
Expressing grave concerns, Asnikumar cautioned against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s proposals for religious-based division of reservations and asset confiscation, asserting that such measures could deepen social and economic divisions.
Furthermore, Asnikumar highlighted Congress’s track record of prioritizing minority entitlements, raising doubts about their agenda. He reiterated the BJP’s commitment to upholding secular principles and ensuring equal opportunities for all citizens, regardless of religion or caste.
Asnikumar’s remarks come amidst escalating political tensions and intense scrutiny of the competing party manifestos ahead of the upcoming elections. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
