LPG Consumers’ body formed

To fight the disparity in distribution of LPG gas to the consumers of the state a body called All Manipur Domestic LPG Consumer’s Welfare Association Manipur (AMDCWA). The formation of the body was today announced by its president Jayenta Angomcha at Manipur Press Club Imphal.Speaking on the occasion, Jayenta said that even as the government of India has assured 12 LPG cylinders in subsidized government rate for each family in one year, the facility remain as a dream for the people of the state. He said each family could manage to get only 3 to 4 cylinders per years and that too not in regular basis. However, the LPG gas cylinders are available in plenty at market in Imphal even as selling in open market of the cylinders is not permitted. He said the newly form body will urged the concern authority to ensure the LPG consumers to get their share.
