After Union Minister Pratima Bhumi has launched ‘lotus campaign’, an election campaign for the BJP for the upcoming state Assembly Election, in Imphal East district on October 22 from Lamlai Assembly constituencies, karyakartas and office bearers of the state BJP today kick start Lotus campaign (Thambal Campaign) at Thongju Assembly constituency.
Talking at the launching of the BJP campaign, popularly called by the Karyakartas of the BJP as “Thambal Campaign”, Vice President of the state BJP, Nimbus, who is also in-charge of election for Imphal East, said that unlike other political parties, the BJP workers has been working at grass root level by the Karyakartas. The campaign is to reach out at every people of the state and is being organized under the initiative of the BJP Mandals of each assembly constituency.
The launching of the Thambal Campaign at Thongju assembly constituency was attended by various office bearers and karyakartas of the Thongju Mandal BJP.
Mention may be made that Th. Biswajit , the cabinet Minister is the sitting MLA of Thongju Assembly Constituency. He is also a member of the National Executive Committee BJP. While talking to his people at Thongju Assembly constituency he had taken permission from the people of Thongju Assembly Constituency to organize only one public meeting.
