Lockdown relaxed tomorrow; Shops and petrol pumps ordered to open in view of Easter and Cheiraoba Festival

Imphal, April 10

District administration of both Imphal East and Imphal West has relaxed the lockdown for tomorrow only and ordered all shops, market and petrol pumps to remain open tomorrow to enable the general public of buying essential commodities in connection with the celebration of Easter and Cheiraoba Celebration which falls on April 12 and April 13.

A notification in this connection has been issued by both district administrations of Imphal East and Imphal West.

As per the notification of Imphal East, shops, market and Petrol pumps are asked to open from 6 am to 11 am tomorrow however, no timing for opening of the said has been mentioned as per the notification of the Imphal West district administration. Market places that are supposed to be opened is also restricted in the notification by Imphal East District Administration but for Imphal West district no time limitation is being mentioned for opening of the same.

In both the notification, it is mentioned all public to strictly abide by the health advisory of maintaining social distancing by at least one meter while buying their needs.

Petrol pump in urban areas are prohibited from selling of petrol/diesel in jerry cans or drums but allowed for rural area as it may be required for agricultural proposes.

Stone pelter menace on highways throwing stone on trucks plying along the highway in this juncture should be dealed with live bullets. Amidst COVID crisis, there were reports of truck carrying construction materials being burned down, stone being pelted, what the hell is going on. Shoot those bastards, their colors wont change, was filthy, is filthy, and will always remained filthy. Show them their status, give them live bullets.
