In a recent development, Md. Roustom Ali Laskar, a resident of Mullargaon under Sonapur Gram Panchayat, has officially withdrawn his case regarding unpaid wages associated with his job card under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).
Rostum Ali Laskar had initially filed the complaint due to concerns over not receiving his entitled wages for the work completed under the MGNREGA scheme. However, after resolving the issue with the local authorities, he has confirmed that he has now received all outstanding payments related to his job card since 2018 till day.
In a statement, Rostum Ali expressed relief at the resolution of his wage issues, emphasizing that he felt the case was no longer necessary. He elaborated that the complaint had been filed without his full understanding and was influenced by his legal representative, who, he claims, took his signature on a blank paper without proper explanation.
The Sonapur Gram Panchayat has welcomed the resolution, emphasizing its commitment to providing timely wages and support to all job card holders.
