As the ongoing impasse at Manipur University sees no amicable solution after 23 days, and as the people felt academic disaster in the coming days, local clubs and organization located in the periphery of the Manipur University today staged a protest at Kakwa Keithel showing solidarity to the demand of the Manipur University Students’ Union as well as other stakeholders of the Manipur University .
“Our forefather had donated land for the University and supported in the establishment of the University thinking that the society will have more human resource but the present impasse going on due to the alleged corruption and misutilization of fund by the Vice Chancellor worried us for our children”, a local supporter said talking to media persons. He said if VC is right let him clarify over the series of allegation or else the authority should remove him from the post .
He said the people of the area as well as people from across the state will launch mass movement if the authority failed to listen them.
