Imphal, Sept. 11: Women folk of of Ima Keithel Sinpham Amadi Saktam Kanba Lup today set ablaze country liquor seized from a vendor at Wanhengbam Leikai area near Auto parking at around noon today. A women activist said that all the shops are closed due to the Keithel bandh called in connection with the visit of RN Ravi, the said vendor remain open defying the peoples’ protest. When the shops were told to shut down they refused resulting heated argument between them. Later, large number of women activist from Kwairambandh Keithel throng into the area and while checking the vendors they found huge quantity of local brew. The seized local liquors were later set ablaze in public.
