As part of its ongoing environmental initiative, the Lions Club of Imphal Leimarol, under District 322D, Manipur Region, conducted its second tree plantation programme at Joypur Khunou near the Manipur Oxygen Plant, Bishnupur district, on Thursday.
The event was led by Lion Memyo Ningombi, President of the Club, and Lion S. Bedamal Devi, Chairperson, along with several club members. Over fifty fruit-bearing saplings were planted during the programme, reinforcing the Club’s commitment to promoting a greener and healthier environment.
The Club also urged local non-Lion volunteers to take responsibility for nurturing the saplings, while raising awareness about the importance of environmental conservation, sustainability, and climate balance.
This drive is part of a continued effort by the Lions Club of Imphal Leimarol to contribute to environmental preservation and community engagement through meaningful actions.
