Liangmai Naga Council delegation meets CM

A delegation of the Liangmai Naga Council called on Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand at the Manipur Secretariat today to discuss issues concerning the welfare and development of the Liangmai community.

The delegation was led by Liangmai Naga Council President Timothy Wijunamai and included Speaker Kawidinlungbou, Chairman Lungjinbuibou and social activist Lungphakbou Newmai.

During the meeting, the delegation apprised the Chief Minister of various issues concerning the welfare and development of the Liangmai community. Among the issues raised was a proposal for the construction of an 8-km road aimed at improving connectivity and access for the people of the area.

Yumnam Khemchand assured the delegation that the government has taken note of the proposal and would examine it thoroughly to assess its feasibility for implementation. He reiterated the government’s commitment to inclusive development and ensuring that the benefits of progress reach all communities across the state.
