Let we Survive – a play that depicts the lives of Sangai staged

A new theatre production of the United Women’s Social & Cultural Forum, Chingamakha Liwa Ningthoujam Leikai, Imphal West was staged yesterday at its auditorium.
The play “Eikhoibu Hinghanbiyu”, which literarily means ‘Let we Survive’ was produced under the financial assistance by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi.
Inaugural function of the premiere show was attended by Retd. Deputy Director of DIPR, N. Krishnakumar Singh, Playwright and Director Natyashri K. B. Sharma and Ksh. Somorendro Singh and the President of the United Women’s Social &Cultural Forum N. Shyama Devi as dignitaries.
The play is about the story of an innocent family of a deer living in the wetland of Keibul Lamjao of Moirang. The deer are very cute and beautiful to look at. The relationships between the male and female deer are very cheerful one and they live together not only lovingly and dearly but also peaceful. But then the customary law of human beings breaks the peaceful living of the deer,
The story depict the present conditions of the Sangai .
