Kuki protesters block Kendriya Vidyalaya students from attending school

Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Leimakhong, were reportedly prevented from attending classes today after Kuki protesters blocked the road leading to the school near the Leimakhong Army Camp.

According to reports, the protesters stopped students on their way to the school and did not allow them to proceed, leaving many stranded outside the campus. The incident reportedly disrupted normal academic activities.

The blockade is said to be part of the ongoing agitation launched by Kuki groups in response to recent blockades and boycott calls affecting Kuki areas. The protest comes amid heightened tensions between Naga, Meitei and Kuki organisations over civic and economic restrictions in parts of Manipur’s hill districts.

There was no immediate official statement from the district administration, Kendriya Vidyalaya authorities or security agencies confirming the incident or the number of students affected.
