Fresh incidents of violence have been reported from the Litan area in Manipur, where Kuki armed militants allegedly launched attacks on nearby Meitei and Tangkhul villages, heightening tension in the region.
According to sources, the militants are said to be stationed at Thwai village and have been carrying out repeated bomb and gun attacks, creating fear and instability among local residents. Despite claims of improving law and order in the state, such incidents continue to be reported from vulnerable areas.
Residents allege that both State and Central security forces have not been able to effectively contain the situation. While security personnel are present in the area, their response has reportedly remained limited, with no decisive action taken to prevent recurring attacks.
The continued violence has raised serious concerns over the ground reality of peace in Manipur, as affected villagers remain under constant threat. Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the latest developments.
