Kshetrimayum Premchand honoured at 3rd Kalyan Barooah Awards 2025

The 3rd Kalyan Barooah Awards 2025 were presented today at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi, in a ceremony graced by Supreme Court Judge Justice Ujjal Bhuyan as Chief Guest. The event was jointly organised by the North East Media Forum (NEMF) and My Home India.
Justice Bhuyan presented awards to journalists from across the North East, alongside Sanjib Kumar Baruah, President of NEMF, and Sunil Deodhar, President of My Home India. Manipur’s Kshetrimayum Premchand, Chief Reporter of SKTV News, received the Electronic Media Award in recognition of his impactful reporting and dedication to field journalism.
Premchand’s achievements include the Manipur State Journalist Award (2021), three Climate Change Reporting Media Fellowships from the Directorate of Environment & Climate Change, and the Media Fellowship from Central Agricultural University, Imphal. He has also been honoured with the IPS Journalist Award, Editor’s Guild Manipur Award, and the Manipur University Media Award for excellence in development, research, and election reporting.
