While appealing the state government to withdraw it order of statewide holiday for educational institutes, Kangleipak Students’ Association (KSA) has appealed reopen all the schools, colleges and universities from July 13.
The state government pointlessly declared holiday in order to contain the ongoing demand for Inner Line Permit System (ILPS). It is a wrong step; educational institutes should be open even in war. Besides without knowing the sentiment of the public the government clamped indefinite curfew in Imphal. The curfew caused serious concern to daily wage workers, General Secretary of KSA, Sukham  Bidyananda said in a release.
If the government failed to reopen the educational educations from July 13, the students’ movement will be intensified by assuming that the government has violated the right to education and it should be responsible for any untoward incidents during the course of action, Bidyananda warned.
When people of the state even small children came out in support of the ILP system, the state government remained silent without saying a word on its stand. The government failed to take action against the security personnel who are involved in the killing of Sapam Robinhood during a peaceful rally in support of the ongoing demand for ILPS and withdrawal of the Manipur Regulation of Visitors Tenants and Migrant Workers Bill- 2015. KSA also request the government not to play with the sentiments of the people with false assurance inside the house anymore.
