Federation of Haomee today said that those individuals who had threatened the village Chief of Ichum Keirap Kom and warned of dire consequences if failed to meet them within three days turn out to be imposters.
In a press statement by the Secretary Publicity of the Federation of Haomee, said that following the incident of July 17 this year at which some people mercilessly assaulted women and children of the Ichum Keirap Kom Village, two individuals who identified themselves as cadres of the Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) came to the residence of the village chief of the village at around 2 pm of August 11 and threatened the village chief to come at a place within three days failing which he will face the music. One among the two persons, who threatened the village chief was the son of Village Chief Dongkham, Mr. Lerkhohao of Moibung Khul near Kamong village in Bishnupur village.
However, on August 16, 2021, the PRO of the KRA Keithelmanbi Division in a letter had clarified that those two-person acting as cadres of the KRA and threatened the village chief are imposters and had no connection with the KRA. The letter further said that the KRA will not interfere with the issue of the Ichum Keirap Kom.
Welcoming the KRA letter and its stand, the Federation of Haomee said that as the two individuals are not related to the KRA, the KRA should initiate action against the two individuals.
