Koireng-led UNLF denies involvement in property grabbing allegations

IT News
Imphal, Feb 25:

In response to a press release dated February 22, 2024, issued by Rev. S Prim Vaiphei and Hejang Kipgen regarding alleged property takeovers in New Lambulane, the UNLF led by Koireng categorically refutes any involvement in such actions. The organization asserts that it is not associated with any property grabbing cases as claimed by the individuals.
The UNLF further highlights the pressing issue of hundreds of Meitei houses and properties being destroyed by Kuki militants in CCur and Moreh. This destructive activity has resulted in the displacement of thousands of individuals overnight. The UNLF urges attention to these significant events, including the leveling of grounds by bulldozers and the forcible occupation of remaining houses, which were not addressed in the press release issued by Rev. S. Prim Vaiphei and Hejang Kipgen.
