Union minister Kiren Rijiju asked the students to participate in the extra-curricular activities which would be helpful to them in having varied experiences. He also emphasised that the students should focus on understanding and acquiring knowledge while studying a particular subject.
Interacting with a group of 10 students from Bomdila locality of Arunachal Pradesh recently in New Delhi, the minister of State for home affairs also added that these days the students have access to study material due to reach of internet, television and newspapers.
Rijiju, who himself hails from the frontier State in northeast India, also encouraged them to be well-equipped with knowledge and confidence to excel in this competitive world.
The students, who are on an excursion tour organized by 2nd Arunachal Scouts, have already visited India Gate, President’s House, Qutub Minar, Humayun Tomb, Lal Quila among others. They will also travel to Dehradun and Lucknow after the Delhi programs.
