Imphal, June 8:

Vendor ladies of the three Khwairamband Keithel today said that they have prepared for the 3rd Nupi Lal (Women’s War) in the aftermath of the prolonged conflict in the state.
The vendor ladies of Khwairamband Keithel had shut down the three markets in protest against the Center and State government’s inaction to end the ongoing conflict in the state. A public meeting was held on the third day of closure and a committee called Joint Co-ordinating Committee for Peace Khwairamband Keithel Imphal was formed to resolve the ongoing crisis.
Today’s meeting resolved against any move to establish separate administration and to submit memorandums to the United Nations and the Government of India in connection with the present crisis in the state.
In the memorandum, the Committee will draw the attention of the concerned authority to wipe out the Narco-terrorists from the soil of the state and to implement NRC in the state of Manipur.
The meeting also denounced the prolonged ban on internet connectivity and also the closure of the National Highway at Kangpokpi. The Khwairamband Imas also urged the government authority to immediately arrange for the settlement of the displaced people (victims of the present crisis) who are presently taking shelter at various relief camps in the state.
On the other hand, the Khwairamband Keithel Imas said that the present crisis in the state is caused by the armed Kuki militants under the suspension of operation with the government of India and Manipur. The vendor ladies urged the government for immediate abrogation of the Suspension of Operations with the armed Kuki militants.
The meeting that was held today at Khwairamband Keithel Imphal also stated that if combing operation had to be conducted then it should be started from Churachandpur district along with the state police commando as it was the place where the present crisis started.
The Khwairamband Ima also resolved to unite all the women communities of the state irrespective of caste and creed to jointly fight against any attempt to pull down the Manipur’s society.
The Imas also urged the MPs and the MLAs to New Delhi and give pressure to protect and preserve the state of Manipur. It also urged the government to withdraw the Assam Rifles from the soil of Manipur.
