KCP Taibanganba Group reiterates warning to RIMS authorities

The proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP), Taibanganba Group, has issued a stern warning to doctors of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, allegedly involved in prolonged private practice despite holding government positions.
In a statement signed by the outfit’s Publicity Secretary, Salaingamba Meitei, the group cautioned that it would initiate “serious physical action” against doctors who fail to discontinue private practice immediately. The outfit has given time for those involved to surrender to the party voluntarily. It also warned the Director of RIMS, Dr. G. Sunilkumar Sharma, and the Medical Superintendent (MS) to take immediate disciplinary action against such doctors, failing which the party would intervene directly.
The statement accused certain RIMS officials and employees of trying to tarnish the image of the KCP (Taibanganba) by portraying it as a faction lacking revolutionary ideology, principles, and integrity. It alleged that some “gangs” within RIMS were attempting to undermine the group by suggesting that it could be appeased with money. The outfit warned the RIMS administration to stop involving other armed groups to counter or dilute the KCP’s position, asserting that such acts would not be tolerated.
The KCP further alleged that a “gang” operating within RIMS was formed under the direction of the RIMS Director, Dr. G. Sunilkumar Sharma, along with five other employees. The outfit claimed that while some individuals had already contacted the party through this network, others had not yet responded. It stated that those who failed to comply would face “serious consequences.”
Questioning the silence of the RIMS Director, Medical Superintendent, and Administrator, the outfit asked why no action has been taken against doctors found violating institutional regulations. It warned that if the RIMS authorities fail to take action, the party would make those involved “confess publicly.”
The statement also referred to an earlier announcement made by the RIMS Medical Superintendent urging individuals to report cases of doctors engaging in private practice. According to the KCP, it had already submitted a list of such doctors to the authorities as part of its “Operation on Eradication of Public Enemy.” However, no action was reportedly taken. The outfit questioned whether the doctors who had since stopped private practice were being shielded from punishment and demanded that RIMS disclose any monetary transactions made to suppress the issue.
The KCP accused RIMS authorities of nurturing internal gangs and developing a false sense of security, believing they could be protected from accountability. It warned that the outfit is ready to confront and challenge such practices head-on.
Reiterating its position, the KCP (Taibanganba Group) issued a final warning to all doctors at RIMS engaged in private practice to immediately contact the outfit or face severe action under its ongoing operation.
