KCP Poirei Lup has called 12 hours general strike on September 5 from 5 am to 5 pm against the Manipur University authority’s failure to clarify the wrongs of FO and one Rame. In a press statement signed by one Malemnganba, Publicity Secy, KCP, Poirei Meitei Lup said that the organization has not take up any action against MU authority in view of the peoples’ movement for protection indigenous people of the state. It said that organization is left with no choice but to call the general strike as the VC fails to clarify over the misdeed of the FO and the said contractor. The organization also appealed to stay away from the said persons.
