The Kangpokpi Police have arrested Seibem Lhoubum, 29, of K. Phoipi, Motbung, in connection with the assault on Kingson, a Tangkhul individual, which took place on September 17, 2025, in Motbung.
Following the incident, a suo moto First Information Report (FIR No. 22(9)/2025) was registered at G SPM Police Station. The suspect is currently in police custody while a detailed investigation is underway to ensure due process and bring the perpetrators to justice.
Earlier reports had highlighted concerns over rising tensions in the area following the attack, prompting heightened vigilance by local authorities. Police officials have assured the public that all necessary measures are being taken to maintain law and order and prevent any further escalation.
