KAMA observes 12th Foundation Day

Imphal, Aug. 7: The Kabui Mothers’ Association (KAMA), Manipur observed  its 12th  foundation day at Gandhi Memorial Hall, Imphal  today.
The foundation day observation was graced by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Gaikhangam, Tamenglong assembly constituency MLA Shri  Janghemlung Panmei, KAMA President K. Kakomlunglu and Founder Advisor KAMA, Manipur  Shri R. Lanbon Kabui  as the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and President respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Gaikhangam said that, Mother’s play a vital role in the society, we must honour them with all dignity in a society. When there is more good mother’s in the society, definitely it would brings a better society and there is nothing to worried . Every mother  must retrospect and asked themself, ‘do I worthy to be a mother’. Being a mother, there is no limit of love towards her children. If anyone denied the love of his/her mother, who so ever  wouldn’t be blessed. Freedom fighter Rani Gaidinliu memorial park will also be established, he added
Manipur Sate Commission for Women, Chairperson  Dr. K. Sobita and representatives of different civil society organisations also graced the event during which speakers not only recounted participation and contribution of the Kabui community, under the aegis of KAMA, in a number of public movements but also the Association’s relentless effort to preserve and promote culture and traditions of the Kabuis.
Presenting the key-note address and Secretary Report , KAMA Secretary K. Ranjita Golmeipui  highlighted the reasons for establishment of  KAMA in 2004 and its achievements so far.
