Kakching District organises Meeyamgi Numit at Kakching and Waikhong

Kakching, Feb 7:

District Administration, Kakching, organized Meeyamgi Numit (People’s Day) at the offices of the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Kakching and Waikhong, providing essential government services to the public. Deputy Commissioner Rohit Anand and Superintendent of Police Thokchom Vikramjit Singh, IPS, led the event at the DC Office Complex in Kakching and the SDO Waikhong office.
At the SDO Kakching office, 27 Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) cards and 35 birth certificates were issued. The District Forest Office distributed 50 saplings, while the Manipur State Power Development Company Limited (MSPDCL) provided 90 bulbs. Correction of 14 Aadhaar cards was also facilitated. Also, Deputy Commissioner Rohit Anand and SP Thokchom Vikramjit Singh distributed textbooks and play materials to students and teachers of Kakching Wairi Junior High School. A total of 365 people registered for services at SDO Kakching and 26 departments provided services to the public.
During the program, the District Social Welfare Office distributed four wheelchairs, three Chief Minister Widow Pension Cards, two walking sticks, four Manipur Old Age Pension Cards, and four Chief Ministergi Shotharabasingi Tengbang Cards. Also, the District Supply Officer (CAF&PD) facilitated the renewal and modification of ration cards and addressed inquiries related to the Ujjwala scheme.
At SDO Waikhong, around 300 applications were received, with 19 departments setting up stalls to address public grievances. A total of 143 land resource certificates, including income, birth, death, and residential certificates, were issued. Also, 114 Old Age Cards, three Disability Cards, and 21 Widow Forms were provided.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Rohit Anand highlighted that many people had been unable to access government schemes over the past 18 months. To address this, the Meeyamgi Numit has been restarted at Kakching Headquarters and Waikhong Subdivision Office, ensuring that citizens can avail themselves of various government services.
“This will now be a monthly initiative, providing an opportunity for everyone to access the government services they need. I sincerely urge the public to participate in large numbers and make full use of this platform,” he stated.
Expressing his commitment to reaching every individual in the district, Rohit Anand appealed to all to support the program and ensure that government schemes benefit those in need.
Today’s program was also attended by Moirangthem Kapajit, ADM Kakching, Kherdananda Potsangbam, SDO Kakching, Anunay Anand, IAS, SDO Waikhong, DLOs of the district, and officials of district administration among others.
