Kakching district observes Swachhata Hi Seva

The Watershed Development Component of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (WDC-PMKSY 2.0) in Kakching observed “Promotion of Swachhata in Watershed Development Projects”, aligning with Swachhata Hi Seva and Swachhata Bharat Diwas 2025.
The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from officials, villagers, and students at the DC Office Complex and Langmeidong Village. Key activities included a horticulture saplings plantation drive, cleanliness initiatives around community assets, and awareness campaigns emphasizing the link between sanitation, water security, and health.
Officials and villagers also took a pledge to sustain cleanliness efforts, highlighting the role of community engagement in environmental stewardship. The drive showcased the integration of green initiatives with watershed development, promoting both ecological conservation and public hygiene.
The campaign reflected a collaborative effort by the District Administration, SLNA, WDC-PMKSY 2.0 team, and local residents, reinforcing Kakching’s commitment to a cleaner, greener, and healthier environment.
