Joint Operation by AR and Singhat Police Leads to weapons cache recovery in Singhat

On 07 Sept 2023, Assam Rifles, operating under the guidance of IGAR (South), executed a meticulously planned joint operation alongside the Singhat Police, resulting in the discovery of a weapons cache in Singhat, located in Churachandpur District.
Acting on credible information from a reliable source, the combined team of Assam Rifles and Singhat Police launched an operation in the general vicinity of Singhat Cemetery. This operation culminated in the recovery of a significant arsenal, including one 7.62mm SLR, one 9mm Carbine, and one 9mm Pistol, complete with magazines. These weapons are believed to have been looted during an ethnic clash in Singhat on 04 May 2023.
The recovered firearms have been handed over to the Singhat Police Station for further investigation.
