In a proactive security measure, a joint combing operation (CASO) was successfully conducted today in the Champanagar village area of Jiribam District.
The operation was carried out by a collaborative team from the Jiribam Police Station, led by Officer-in-Charge Inspector Th. Tikendra Singh, along with Jitendra Prasad Kheer, IPS (P), and accompanied by lady police officers and constables.
The operation, which began at 730 AM and concluded at 930 AM, involved rigorous checks of approximately 60 houses and the verification of around 200 individuals. The team included personnel from RLJBM, CDO unit JBM, 87th Battalion CRPF, 156th Battalion CRPF, and 215 Battalion CRPF.
The operation was carried out smoothly with no untoward incidents or arrests reported. As of now, the situation in the area remains normal, ensuring the safety and security of the community.
