Imphal, Nov 9:

A day after virtually attending the BJP’s National Executive meeting, Adhikarimayum Sharda Devi, party’s state unit President, disclosed that a political resolution was adopted and later passed at Sunday’s meeting.
During the press meet at the BJP office Thambal Shanglen at Nityaipat Chuthek on Monday Sharda expressed that only the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath physically attended the meeting among the leaders from the five poll-bound States namely Uttarakhand, Goa, Punjab, UP and Manipur, she said, adding that all the five States presented their reports expressing confidence of emerging victorious in the forthcoming polls.
The BJP Manipur Pradesh supremo revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi who delivered the closing speech expressed confidence of the party gaining the public trust in the upcoming Assembly polls as it has served the common people with “Sewa, Sanklap our Samparan” (service, resolution and commitment), especially in combating the Covid pandemic and their resounding response has only been positive.
Sharda divulged that PM Modi commended party workers for serving people with the mindset of Seva Hi Sangathan and catapulting the nation to emerge as a true global leader.
BJP National President JP Nadda while delivering the inaugural speech underscored the importance of the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative as the country which once stared at the impending Covid pandemic with the apprehension of failing to meet the demands of ventilators and masks not only manufactured the former but sewed the latter in abundance under the initiative, Sharda.
She conveyed that Nadda also mentioned the creation of a vaccine to combat the Covid virus and the subsequent public welfare scheme of assisting over 80 crore people during the pandemic boosting the image of the BJP among the public and around the world.
All of these prompted PM Modi to express great confidence in winning big in the upcoming Assembly elections, she asserted.
Responding to a poser, Sharda Devi said her party was planning to provide 33 percent reservations to intending female candidates in the upcoming polls.
She also declared that the window for joining the BJP ahead of the polls would close by November end as the party would probably start finalising its candidates by then.
