Janata Dal (United) workers and supporters accorded warm reception to Ashab Uddin today on his arrival at Jiribam helipad for the first time after joining the JD(U) party in Imphal one week ago.
Thousands of party workers and supporters of Ashab Uddin enthusiastically gathered at Ningsingkhul helipad and gave a grand reception to him.
Replying to the query of media persons about his joining to JD(U), Ashab Uddin said that JD(U) will take major part in the formation of government in Manipur. He said that the development which was brought by leader of JD(U) Nitish Kumar, he would like to bring such development at Jiribam District.
He added that his aim and objective for contesting the upcoming election is to solve the unemployment problem of Jiribam.
Later he was taken to Sonapur at his home in a big procession by his followers and supporters.
