Janata Dal (United) National General Secretary I/C of NE, Afaque Ahmad Khan and North East Executive Council (NEEC) Chairman NSN Lotha are on visit to Manipur and meeting with all office bearers of Manipur state of JD(U).
The state unit will be holding a rally next month on December 18 and will be addressed by the National President of JD(U) Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, the party leader in the Lok Sabha . The visit of Chairman NEEC Shri Lotha together with the National General Secretary Afaque Ahmad Khan is focused on bringing and strengthening the grassroot organization. It is worth mentioning that common Manipuri people are making a positive shift towards JDU.
The message of idea of Development with Justice in line with the 15 years Development Model of Good Governance of Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar, especially his model of women empowerment and infrastructure development in Bihar are creating a positive trust and mood among common Manipuri people. The growth rate of the Bihar under Nitish Kumar is unmatched and fastest in India at the 11.3 percent. The women in Manipur are industrious but ignored in the social political leadership.
JD(U) is committed towards this aspect as our policy and work of our distinctive leader Nitish Kumar proves it. He provided 33 percent reservation to women in Govt Jobs and higher education. It was him who first time in India provided 50 percent reservation to women in panchayat and municipal corporation. JDU with message and plank of this model is rapidly expanding its organization and voice in Manipur and larger public opinions are in favour of this model.
