JD(U) appeals for free and fair election

President of the state JD(U), N Tombi today lambasted the present system of electing representatives for state legislative assembly or the local bodies at Hill area of the state. Speaking to a group of media at JD(U) Manipur State office, the party president said that any form of elections conducted at Hill area are never free and fair as some people shattered the voting rights of the common villagers using muscle and money power. N Tombi further said that the trend is same her at Valley area too. He appealed the ECI to check the electoral process so that the present democratic system of the country can be kept alive.
On the other hand N Tombi said that the party will go along with the congress party in the upcoming local body elections. He said seat sharing among the alliance congress partner is being consulting at the highest party level. The decision is being taken up as the party is in alliance at Bihar election.
