JCILPS stir continues; Blockade at Dingku road lifted

Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System continue its stir demanding implementation of ILPS in the state. Various meira Paibi and club members today staged protest demonstration at various places. At Imphal East a protest rally was organised at Andro Parking area at Wangkhei. Sit- protest were held at Haotan, Khurai Heigru Makhong, Salanthong, Pandongbam, Lai Puthiba along Imphal Pangei road under the aegis of the Co-ordinating body of ILPS Khurai area.
The protestors later stage a rally and later throng to the residence of Khurai Assembly constituency MLA Ng Bijoy. and submitted a memorandum.
Meanwhile, JAC against the brutal killing of Sapam Robinhood has lifted the baned on vehicular movement at Dingku road on temporary basis in view of the re-opening of schools from tomorrow. In a press statement the JAC said that the banned on the route was lifted from 12 noon today.
Mention may be made that the JAC has been blocking the road in protest against the killing of Sapam Robinhood as well as demanding immediate implementation of ILPS in the state.
