JCILPS says MLA Asab Uddin is not indigenous people, even though he had been a permanent settler

Imphal, April 10: Convenor of the Joint Committee ob Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) Arjun Telheiba today said that MLA from Jiribam Assembly Constituency Asab Uddin has been a permanent settler of the state however as is not an indigenous people.

Talking to media persons at its office complex at Sega Road, Arjun Telheiba said that ILPS has been putting a restriction to the contest of election by any none indigenous people until a proper Bill for protection of the indigenous people has been put into force. As Asab Uddin himself is not an indigenous people, the JCILPS will not accept him has an MLA of the state legislative Assembly and further said that all activities of the government as well as his will be well monitored.
