The Joint Action Committee on Inner Liner Permit System (JCILPS) has banned construction work of temporary market at area of erstwhile Tombisana High School after non-local labourers engaging at the site of construction were unable to produce relevant documents.
While visiting at the construction site today morning as part of their drive on non-local workers, a team of JCILPS led by its Convenor, Ratan Khomdram checked the documents of above 30 migrant workers who are currently engaged by Simplex Project Private Limited.
The workers failed to produce relevant documents. According to report, it is also learnt that the there was a short verbal fight between the JCILPS team and City Police personnel who raised the authority of JCILPS for checking documents of migrant workers.
