JAC of E Kanon killing warns of intense agitations

Imphal, July 11: The JAC against suspected rape @ killing of E. Kanon Devi warned the state government of intense agitations if the state government failed to arrest the murderer at the earliest. A press release of the JAC said the 21 year old Elangbam Kanon Devi, daughter of Churamani Singh of Khangabok Khullakpam Leikai was found dead in a suspicious manner at a canal located about 100 meters from Thoubal Police station on June 19. The JAC and local has been keeping silent believing the state government will arrest the accused within a short period but the state government failed even after the completion of last rites of the deceased.
