JAC formed against the Missing of VDF Premananda, which has been demanding justice for the missing VDF personal and his family members have started road blocked protest at National High Way 102 at Thoubal Okram area in Thoubal district today.
The whereabouts of VDF Premananda remain unknown till today after he was reported missing while on duty. He was missing since January 16 this year while carrying out duty to destroy poppy plantation at of Urantop Hill under Chakpikarong Police Station of Chandel District.
JAC against missing of VDF Personal Premananda expressing dismay on delay in finding his whereabouts by the authority today blocked National Highway 102 (Imphal Moreh road) at Thoubal Okram.
VDF personnel N. Premananda was in the team of police who chopped the poppy plantation at the surface of Urantop Hill on January 16 and his missing was reported to the family by the department on January 21. JAC of Missing N. Premananda VDF no. 706 Chingkham Post Convenor also gave an ultimatum to the government of Manipur to bring justice for the missing on or before January 31, and also warned if the authority and the department failed to their demands they will intensify the protest by collaborating with various clubs, organizations and Meira Paibi Lup.
The protesters blocking National Highway2 of Imphal Moreh road, displayed placards with the slogans “Government tolerates the missing of N. Premananda”, “We condemn the government irresponsibility and voicelessness, when the missing happened, was 11 days over “ and “ Help and support in finding missing Personnel Premananda “.
