The local MLA of Jiribam Assembly constituency Md. Achab Uddin visited Jiribam 50- bedded hospital today.
On his surprise visit, Md. Achab Uddin expressed sadness about the deplorable condition of the hospital in every sphere.
Interacting with the hospital staff and management committee, he discussed the needs and requirements of the hospital.
Speaking on the sidelines of his visit, MLA Md. Achab Uddin said that the hospital is the life saving sector but the condition of the Jiri hospital is terrible.
Expressing his dissatisfaction, he added that O.T, Laboratory, the X-ray machine is not functional due to which the people of Jiribam are suffering lots in the health sector.
He said, to solve the problems of hospital as earliest, he will discuss the matter with the Chief Minister and the concerned Minister.
On the query of the media persons, he said that some officials posted at Jiribam of every department are not willing to stay at Jiribam. He added Jiribam District is also part of Manipur. “Without the development of Jiribam, we can’t say that Manipur is developed”, He added.
He appealed to all the officials to stay at Jiribam on their posting and to serve the people of Jiribam.
He assured that regarding the transfer and posting of the officials he will discuss with the Chief Minister and concerned Minister and try to solve the problems of the hospital.
