Serves a legal notice to a newspaper on false defamatory information of congress leaders

The Congress team of Manipur led by Manipur PCC General Secretary S. Jeeten & MPCC Spokesperson Ningombam Bupenda Meitei went to Manipur Human Rights Commission. The team comprising of Adv. Nameirakpam Jayantakumar Singh, Chairman State Legal Department, MPCC, Adv. L. Chandrakumar Singh, Chairman Vichar Bibhag, General Secretary MPCC S. Jeeten Singh, Andro AC Co-Opted Member K. Ningthemjao Singh, Chairman OBC Department, MPCC S. Gunamani Singh, General Secretary (Administration) S. Johny Meitei, NSUI President Md. Kabir Ahamad, NSUI Executive Member Joyson Kh, Social Media State coordinator Malemkhomba Salam and others.
The Petitioner, N. Jayantakumar Singh, Chairman, State Legal Department, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee, filed an application to Manipur Human Rights Commission to implead him; representing Manipur PCC, as a party in the suo moto case on matters arising out of the Public officers with drugs lords in drugs crimes in Manipur.
The same applicant, N. Jayantakumar Singh, also had sent a legal notice to newspaper Echel Express asking the details of the name of the leaders of Congress party who are going to join BJP, as reported on the newspaper, failing which the state Legal Department of MPCC would be left with no alternative but to take up legal action for defamation against the newspaper.
The Congress Party, in the state, has been urging to transfer all the drugs-related high profile crime cases to CBI or NIA. The party is serious in fighting against the false propaganda of spreading false information to the public.
