The Helping Hands for People HHP has been honoured a National Award Utkal Raktavir Samman on a function of National Blood Donors Conclave[Utkal Raktavir Sammaan ] 2020 at Conference Hall of Shri Gopabandhu Ayurvedic Medical College, Puri. The function was organised by Samparan and Odhisa Blood Donors Group on 10 February 2020.
While speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul today Secretary of HHP, Premjit Moirangthem said that the HHP could give any required blood to those people who need blood out of emergency when they go aboard for further treatment. And he further said that after he suggested the inconveniences in helping people of Manipur going for treatment in other Indian states like Chandigarh, Delhi, Mumbai ,Kolkata etc . In that conference, a network of Indian Organisations that conduct blood donation camps would be formed after the meeting of Union Health Minister Dr.Harsh Vardhan and the second conference would be conducted.
He further added that the HHP would always be there till last for the service of people. For instance, when a girl named Tina who was a cancer patient went operation in Guwahati ,8 volunteers from Manipur with their own expenses went to help her when she needed more blood out of emergency. And after the network was formed, the HHP could help in supplying the demand of blood of people at the stage of Manipur pan India . he also showed gratefulness to Dr. Surjit Konsam ,MO of JNIMS Blood Bank, Dr. Barindra Sharma, HOD of RIMS Blood Bank and Dr. Bijoy, Senior MO of Shija Hospital and the Regular Blood Donors of HHP for their help in the long run in bagging the award.
Dr . Bijoy and Dr. Surjit also attended the press conference at Manipur Press Club today.
